We at Quest are excited about the release of the film “The Mercy” which will be in UK cinemas this Friday. The film staring Colin Firth and Rachel Weisz tells the very interesting yet sad story of amateur Yachtsmen Donald Crowhurst who attempted to circumnavigate the globe.
Quest provided support for the filming of The Mercy which involved road transport of the recreated trimaran “Teignmouth Electron” from specialist boat builders Heritage Marine at Maldon in Essex to Portland Harbour, Towage of the Teignmouth Electron from Portland Harbour to Teignmouth, marine support to the filming at Teignmouth , towage of the Teignmouth Electron from Teignmouth back to Portland Harbour, marine support to the filming at Portland Harbour and then finally the road transport of the Teignmouth Electron from Portland to Malta.
We thoroughly enjoyed supporting this filming working with an incredibly skilled and professional production team especially Daren and team at Aqua Films.
The support that we provided shows the diverse services that Quest are able to offer. Portland harbour also once again proved it’s self as an ideal location for marine filming with clear horizons to the south east..
